BeliefState guides / Stock analysis tools

Choose BeliefState.

Go beyond the stock idea. Bring the investor’s reasoning, cited support, and recorded changes into the AI you already use.

Why choose BeliefState

A stock idea leaves questions. Get the case behind it.

An AI answer leaves you with work to do: establish who made the argument, what supports it, and what could weaken it. BeliefState brings the attributed case, cited evidence, and recorded history into your AI so you can examine those questions together.

01

Know whose argument you are weighing

See the investor, publication date, and source attached to the case. Keep that person’s view separate from company facts and your AI’s interpretation.

Understand where the investment argument comes from.

02

Test the case against its evidence

Open the cited support and inspect the qualifications. Ask whether the source establishes the claim and what still needs checking.

Make the next research question specific.

03

Judge the update against the earlier case

Retrieve the earlier view and recorded revisions. Compare a change in the argument with the assumptions you started with; missing updates remain explicit.

Revisit the reasoning when new evidence arrives.

Expanded fictional illustration

See what the stock idea leaves out.

FictionalCo, its analyst, source notes, figures, and dates are entirely invented. Follow the argument into its support and unanswered questions. These are teaching examples, not actual investor research or customer reports.

Example 01 · FictionalCo

Why does this investor see an opportunity?

As of 6 January 2026

The sample analyst’s positive case is that repeat demand could support growth as FictionalCo’s installed base expands. That is an attributed investment view, not an established forecast.

What must hold
Repeat demand needs to persist and acquired sales need to convert into cash. These are conditions in the analyst’s argument, not results proved by the revenue figure.
The countercase
Acquisitions contributed $8m of the $20m increase in revenue. Growth could therefore overstate the strength of underlying demand. Customer concentration and cohort retention remain unknown.
What would weaken the view
The analyst names slowing repeat orders or weaker cash conversion as reasons to reassess. The January answer cannot include the February update.
Next research question
Ask for customer-cohort data, the sources of revenue growth, and operating cash flow. Keep the valuation open: the analyst supplies neither a target price nor numerical confidence.

Company note · 5 January 2026Sample analyst’s view · 6 January 2026

Read the invented source notes
Company note · 5 January 2026 · Fictional
FictionalCo sells replacement parts to industrial customers. Revenue increased from $100m to $120m in this invented annual period; operating income was $12m. Acquisitions contributed $8m of the $20m revenue increase. Repeat orders increased, but customer-cohort retention and customer concentration were not disclosed.
Sample analyst’s view · 6 January 2026 · Fictional
My positive case depends on repeat demand continuing and acquired sales converting into cash. A larger installed base could support repeat purchases. Acquisition revenue alone does not establish stronger underlying demand. I would reassess if repeat orders slow or cash conversion weakens. I have not supplied a price target or numerical confidence estimate.

What was checked in the product?

BeliefState’s saved production checks from October 18, 2026 verified matching complete cases through API and MCP, comparison passages resolving into the opened cases, explicit gaps retained, and the tested unsupported input rejected. The original receipt files were checked against their saved hashes for this preview.

That check used an existing funded internal account. It does not establish a fresh public installation, current speed, investing skill, or returns. The fictional demo’s local checks ran separately on October 18.

How this comparison was prepared

Published by BeliefState. The comparison evaluates three research workflows against the same eight questions: purpose, reasoning, sources, risks, history, AI access, coverage, and cost. The alternatives describe categories whose capabilities vary; they are not a scored review or a test of every provider.

BeliefState’s functionality is supported by the dated product checks and fictional demonstration above. Pricing reflects the current prepaid offer reviewed October 18, 2026. The checks establish specific delivery behavior, not investment performance or superiority over other platforms.

FAQ

Why choose BeliefState for stock research?

Choose BeliefState when you want the argument behind a stock idea available to your AI. You can inspect who published the case, its cited support, risks, and recorded changes. It adds investor research to the financial and market information you already use.

What does BeliefState add to my AI assistant?

A research source your AI can retrieve: attributed investor cases, dates, cited evidence, and available revisions and outcomes. Your AI works through those records and your follow-up questions. Supported connection methods are listed on the connection page.

Do I need to replace my other stock analysis tools?

Keep the financial statements, prices, charts, and screeners your process needs. BeliefState adds the investor’s argument and its history. The comparison shows where each research job fits.

Why pay if I already have free research tools?

Pay when the missing piece is investor reasoning and recorded history that your AI can retrieve. Check BeliefState’s coverage for free first. If the company or research you need is missing, buying access will not fill that gap.

Is BeliefState a stock screener or charting platform?

BeliefState supplies investor research. Use it to examine an investment case alongside the financial, valuation, and charting tools you need. It does not supply brokerage execution or place trades.

What does the $20 purchase include?

$20 buys 1,000 successful prepaid research requests, or $0.02 per successful response within that pack. One AI question can use several requests, so this is not 1,000 complete reports. Your AI provider may charge separately. Optional subscriptions have their own allowances and terms.

How do I know whether a case is still current?

Inspect its publication date, recorded revisions, and available checking evidence. A case retrieved today can still describe an older view. Coverage and updates are selective; no recorded revision does not prove that the investor’s view is unchanged.

Can I see whether BeliefState covers my companies before paying?

Yes. Coverage discovery is free. Check your companies and supported connection options before purchasing research access. The fictional example on this page shows how a case works; it is not a stock recommendation or evidence of investing returns.

How is research selected and checked?

BeliefState serves selected, attributed investor cases with dated support and material qualifications. Sources must pass access and permitted-use checks, and cases must pass source-backed validation before release. Inclusion does not establish that a view is correct or an investor is skilled. Inspect the support and coverage for the specific case.

What does setup involve?

Open Connect, choose your AI, and check whether setup is available. Follow that client’s instructions, sign in to BeliefState, and review the requested access. Enable the connection, then check company coverage for free before buying research access. Steps and availability vary by client; payment does not make an unavailable connection work.
